Tribhuvan  International Airport (TIA) is an international airport in Kathmandu, Nepal. It was inaugurated on 1955 by King Mahendra of Nepal. He renamed it by his beloved father's name. TIA was previously known as Gauchaur Airport. It is located 5.56 km east of Kathmandu city and 1 km away from famous Hindu temple "Pashupatinath" dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Tribhuvan  International Airport is also known as Kathmandu Airport with one domestic and one international terminal. The runway surface is built with concrete and has length of 10,007 feet (i.e. 3,050 m). It has an elevation of 4,390 ft (1,338 m). The IATA and ICAO codes for Tribhuvan International Airport are KTM and VNKT respectively.

It is the sole international airport of Nepal. Several international airlines with numerous flights are operated daily. There are more than 30 international airport that connects to Nepal through TIA. Buddha Air has more than 40 flights per day operating from TIA, Kathmandu.
